2024 EFR Chipping Program

 
Registration is ONLY open to residents of the Evergreen Fire Protection District* and is on a first-come-first-serve and seats for this program fill up quickly. When registering, be sure to fill out the required fields carefully and completely, any incorrect or mistyped information may lead to a delay or inability to full-fill your request. Please only submit one request per household.

Please follow all guidelines and parameters, our crews work diligently and hard to serve as many of our community members as possible. Dealing with improper, hard to find, and hard to access piles take much needed time and effort out of the program. Thank you for your understanding, participation, and support.
  • Piles must be stacked by 8 a.m. on the first scheduled chipping day
  • Chipping will take place weekly Monday through Thursday
  • Pile size is 5' x 5' x 5'. We will chip all available piles when we come by your address
  • $125 for five piles of 5'x5'x5'
  • Stack piles roadside or in a convenient location so crews can easily access, please note the vehicles we use may not be able to access steep/curvy driveways
  • Stack piles with the large cut ends facing the road
  • Stack piles as compact as possible
  • Space piles adequately apart from one another
  • Place piles within 5 feet of the roadway, but not touching the road or down in drainage ditches.
  • NO piles on or in driveways, piles must be on a roadway accessible to the crew and its equipment.
  • Maximum acceptable material diameter is 8"
  • Do not combine piles with neighbors' piles or place piles in other neighborhoods.
  • No piles that have been created by any machinery will be chipped
  • Please no piles of tiny sticks and twigs (rakings), they can’t be picked up and they jam our chipper.
  • NO rotted/punky/burned material
  • Piles that have rocks, dirt/debris, trash or root wads will NOT be chipped.
  • Any treated lumber or wood with nails will not be chipped

Pay attention to the following:
  • Only 1 request allowed per household. No duplicate or double request will be permitted
  • You must understand and agree to the program parameters and guidelines
  • Submit your complete physical address. We use this information to locate your residence and chip your piles
  • Phone numbers helps us contact you if there is an issue or further instructions for access are required
  • Include expected pile locations and special access (gate codes, shared drives, etc.) in the special instructions section. Leaving this blank can delay in service
