National Heartsafe Foundation Award

Congratulations EPAD and EFR

Evergreen Public Access Defibrillation (EPAD) is a local nonprofit devoted to facilitating access to automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and increasing CPR education in Evergreen. Together EPAD and Evergreen Fire/Rescue have worked together to earn a 5 heart designation (highest designation awarded) from the National Heartsafe Foundation — meaning, the work of these two organizations has made Evergreen one of the better prepared communities for sudden cardiac arrest events.

The partnership of these two organizations and St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood to have regular CPR/AED trainings, have the ability to provide advanced cardiac life support, AEDs in both public and private locations throughout the community, and integrated technology such as phone notifications to assist with handling cardiac events in getting responders to the emergency as soon as possible are all components needed to achieve this award.

Evergreen Meadows Property

The Evergreen Meadows HOA will seek a covenant change from its voters. The change would allow a property that was previously deeded to Evergreen Fire / Rescue for a fire station to be sold. If the covenant change is approved by the homeowners then EFR would apply the proceeds of a sale to the future reconstruction of Station 1.

For more information from the Evergreen Meadows Homeowners Association see the links below:
